Hallowe'en Night
Tonight is Tricks or Treats for the kiddies, but I doubt we'll be dressing up. Kris and I have already attended two dress up events this month, the Cincinnati Witches' Ball and our own party this past weekend.
The Ball was a fun event, as always, but we went with a very small group this year and didn't have quite the time we did last year. I did meet some new people and pass out a few last minute invites to our party, though, which was nice. Hopefully we'll be a bit more together next year and get a good sized crew going out to the Ball. With any luck, David will be off his sabbatical by then and we can have some fun Pagan Dance Music as well.
Our party was not as highly attended as anticipated, but we certainly weren't disappointed. There were a wonderful mix of people, and I believe many new friends were made. I tried something new this year and asked several people who I knew to be readers to do a reading or two. We had a list of ten or eleven people who signed up for Tarot readings. I hope to bring this feature back next year! I haven't got photos on this site yet, but I tossed everything from the camera directly to my flickr, so you can see them there.
I hope to leave work early enough to get settled for the kiddies. I have a wonderful assortment of toys and stickers for the kids...nothing to tempt me to eat unnecessary calories (although I did very well last year!) The weather continues to be misty and yucky, but the pouring rain has stopped. I hope we have a good crop of creative young people come to our abode!
