Core Dump
I've been working with the alternative plan (Core) since Thursday, and have had a dramatic result. I did lose some of this on the old plan, but that didn't come as a huge surprise, as I had a low WI compared to my home weight.
According to my scale at home, I am 5.5 lbs lighter than Wednesday morning. That's quite a bit. Now, I've noticed that I tend to drop weight in chunks from time to time, so this could simply be one of those times and have nothing to do with the program switch.
I've read what others say about this program, and I don't know that I concur. To me, it does feel like a diet, because of the foods I have to choose from. On the flip side, I've been drinking skim milk like it's going out of style. The giant loss is certainly one hell of a kick start to the home stretch (I've 30.4 lbs left to go, officially) but not exactly healthy losing if I sustain that kind of loss for any amount of time.
I'm thinking I'll be back on the other plan at the end of this week. I may come back to core land as needed to kick the scale in the rump. My mother insists that "it will be harder now". I refuse to believe that. Losing 30 lbs is losing 30 lbs. I don't see why it should be any harder to lose the last 30 than it was to lose the first 30.
